From EtherSound into IP

Sometimes it may be interesting to establish a link between EtherSound and IP. The Visiblu technology provides – among other features – a solution for this connection.
Some technical information:
EtherSound is a low latency protocol over Ethernet. It has been developed for local networks like they are used for e.g. live concerts, theaters, or stadiums.
You cannot stream EtherSound over IP (in other words over internet or go through a router).
In this respect, ES and IP are two separate worlds.
Digigram and Visiblu provide the solution to link these worlds.
Visiblu is a comprehensive technology offering lots of other features, but for our subject let’s focus on this idea:
to go from ES to IP or from IP to ES.
Digigram provides a professional IP streaming solution called FluidIP, which allows to stream over standard protocols.
Let’s have a look at some examples, where Visiblu will bring some nice solutions in an EtherSound installation.
